This weekend my little blog turned 1! Seriously, the year has flown by and book blogging has been some of the most fun I’ve had in years. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a lot of work to read, write, review, maintain social media, come up with interesting (hopefully:) content etc but I wouldn’t trade it! I’m someone who’s completely obsessed with books and reading and the blog has brought me the experience of not only reading books months in advance but also getting to interact with authors I never would’ve gotten to speak with before…I’ve been starstruck too many times to count this year by an author reaching out with a comment or email…that’ll never get old!!

More importantly though….If someone would’ve told me a year ago that I would make such good friends from not only the US but all over the WORLD, I would’ve thought they were crazy! In all honesty,  that’s been the very best part of blogging…the friends I’ve “met” along the way who are ALWAYS willing to chat about books and reading and also life, movies, kids…you name it! The book blogging community is one of the best communities to be a part of and I’m really looking forward to seeing what the next year brings. So, with that said I’ll stop rambling and get to the good stuff…I was inspired by my friend Janel at Keeper of Pages to do a different type of giveaway…one where I make you work a little…but not much:)

THE DETAILS….

There are 2 Giveaways…yes, you read that right…you can enter one or both but to win you MUST be following my blog (yes, I’ll be checking:) and you have to answer MY  QUESTION. That’s it! What can you win? A new book of course! This is open INTERNATIONALLY but Book Depository must ship to your location and you have to be willing to provide me with your address so I can send you your prize! In the comment section that follows….

To celebrate my Blogiversary I’ve decided to also treat myself to a book from Book Depository that I think sounds fantastic but haven’t been able to get ahold of just yet. All 3 of the following books are on my tbr but I’ve only ordered 1 of them…tell me which one you think I’ve ordered and if you win I’ll send YOU a copy as well! A winner will be chosen at random from all the correct guesses.

  3. Happy B-Day It’s Book Talk!! What a fun give away! I think you ordered Sweet Little Lies and you inspired me to read The Good Daughter, but of course I already ran out and bought it! I haven’t read it yet as I am waiting for a group read!

  6. Happy blogiversary Renee! I felt it was much longer than a year already! There really are so many fun moments when blogging but making friends is definitely one of the best perks :-).
    When I think stunning ending I’m thinking Behind Her Eyes.. with a hashtag like that #WTFthatending it must be quite something right ;-). I’m pretty sure you inspired me quite a few times this year to read a book after reading your review but definitely also with The Good Daughter!

    A book with a stunning ending…..Feel Me Fall by James Morris.
    A book from this blog I am inspired to read….A Hundred Summers by Beatriz Williams
    My guess about the book you have ordered…How To Stop Time by Matt Haig, I know you quite like your crime, so I thought this might be a little different and it was the book which appealed to me most.

  12. Stunning ending…The Child Finder by Rene Denfeld because of that one memory she finally had of her own kidnapping.
    Book you ordered…How to Stop Time, because that’s what I would want to read first.
    Book you inspired me to read…Castle of Water, I had no interest in it until you said there was a twist. Now I wanna know.

    Stunning ending huh? There are just so many! In the spirit of October/Halloween I’m going to have to choose A Head Full of Ghosts by Paul Tremblay. That book had me guessing what was real and what was fake the whole way through. Then when it came together at the end I was blown away!! I read it years ago and still think about it

    The review which made me want to read the book SO BAD is The Heart’s Invisible Furies and I’m still waiting to read it!!

I finally had time to finish Goodbye, Vitamin, and I loved it ❤ I think The Heart’s Invisible Furies is the one you’ve made me want to read most although it’s hard to choose!

  25. Hi Renee! The first book I thought of for Stunning Ending was Daisy in Chains, which you recommended. I hope you’re reading The Girl Who Took an Eye For an Eye because I really want it! And the book you’ve inspired me to read that I haven’t yet is Artemis. So fun!

  26. Sweet little lies!!!! It has to be!! That way, I win and we can read it together! Right up my alley! Then I can rub it in Jaime’s face! Lol!

    As for book inspirations, a lot of them have been more conversations versus blog inspired ( The Kind Worth Killing, You, Still Missing, oodles of others), but I bookmark them all and read later.

  29. Happy blogiversary 💕 I’ve just seen this! I’m so happy that you (and I!) decided to join the blogosphere and “met” thanks to our obsession: BOOKS! Now, every time I read a new book I think if you’d like it or not and say to myself: Renee would probably DNF this 😂 Haha just kidding, but the first part is obviously true

    I’d say How to stop time because it’s different and you’re in need of something unique and fresh!

    And if I start to list all the books you’ve made me want to read I’d never stop. I discovered a favorite series (LACEY!!!) thanks to your rec, I’m starting the Jane Casey series soon because of you, I also want to read Heart’s invisible furies, The child finder…and I could go on lol

    Two books that come to mind are Hum if You don’t know the words and Bear Town.Oh and Tall Oaks.

  32. Thanks for the chance of a give-away. For a great ending I recommend The Power of the Dog by Thomas Savage (not Don Winslow!). No-one has heard of it but it’s a great book.

    And thanks to you excellent blog there have been several books added to my TBR list – most recently The Hearts Invisible Furies and The Child Finder.

I think you have probably order Sweet Little Lies 😉 Oddly enough, your review of the Marsh King's Daughter inspired me to want to explore the title. I know it did not sit so well with you, but your honest thoughts moved me to want to see just whether or not I would enjoy it.
